Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" Agency for the Performing Arts (APA) 1-page typed contract for an appearance by the Electric Flag appearing at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara, CA on 4/6/1968.
Contract has been HAND-SIGNED in blue pen by both the promoter (Jim Salzer) and band leader/representative (guitarist Michael Bloomfield).
Thin flat stock contract is in very good (B/B+) condition; as it is a piece of used office material, there are a pair of flattened horizontal creases/bends (item was folded into 1/3rds for mailing), plus a small 3/4" horizontal edge tear along the right side of the upper fold, a pair of small staple hole wedge holes in the upper left corner, a pen-annotated stamp in the upper left corner, a tiny pen scribble (initials) in the upper right corner, a few minor handling creases/soft bends and a trace of surface wear, but for a 55-plus-year-old piece of used office material, it has survived quite well.
Unique piece of one-of-a-kind Southern California concert ephemera, including details about set length (one 45-minute set), the band's fee ($2000) and more. Additionally, this is the FIRST Mike Bloomfield signature I have ever come across... not an easy one to find.
