Description

Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" Agency for the Performing Arts (APA) 1-page typed contract for the Peanut Butter Conspiracy appearing at the Coral Casino in Montecito, CA on 5/24/1968.

Contract has been HAND-SIGNED in blue pen by both the promoter (Jim Salzer) and band leader/representative (guitarist John Merrill).

Thin flat stock contract is in excellent (B+) condition; as it is a piece of used office material, there are a pair of flattened horizontal creases/bends (item was folded into 1/3rds for mailing), plus a couple of tiny edge tears, a couple of tiny holes/pen-annotated corrections around Salzer's signature, a few minor handling creases/soft bends here and there and a hint of surface wear, but for a 55-plus-year-old piece of used office material, it has survived quite well.

Unique piece of one-of-a-kind Southern California concert ephemera, including details about set length (two 50-minute sets), the band's fee ($550) and more. Check out other listings for additional Jim Salzer contracts for the Electric Flag and Vanilla Fudge.
