Description

Original 1st printing (union logo #72) 14 x 20" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with the Mothers of Invention (featuring Frank Zappa) and Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 6/3-4/1966.

Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 9 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.

Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are light tape residue shadows in all four corners and in the top center margin, along with a nearly-invisible pin hole and a couple of tiny pin-prick rust spots in the upper right corner tip, a very soft stain and a tiny indentation in the right margin, a couple of small pressure creases along the left margin and a tiny discoloration on the "e" of "Grateful", otherwise it is a VERY nice-looking original 1st printing example of this seminal Fillmore poster.

This image marks the Grateful Dead's first appearance on a numbered Fillmore poster.
