Description

Original 1st printing 22 x 30" silkscreen event merchandising poster for the (Paul) Butterfield Blues Band appearing at the 1st Atlanta International Pop Festival, held at Atlanta International Raceway from 7/3-4/1969.

Designer unknown/not credited (image taken from a photo by Joel Brodsky), medium-thick flat vellum stock silkscreen poster (printed with florescent/day-glo ink) stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a thin 11" long diagonal bend extending from the lower right margin to the bottom margin (just below the "n" of "Band"), along with a few stray soft handling creases here and there, a hairline-thin diagonal/horizontal ink crack/bend along the right margin (going through David Sanborn) and a touch of moisture rippling along the top margin, otherwise fine.

VERY cool 1969 Butterfield Blues Band poster from the 1969 Atlanta Pop Festival, this is one of a series of merchandising posters featuring several different event headliners (others in the series are for Led Zeppelin, Johnny Winter, Janis Joplin and Canned Heat) that were sold at the festival.
