Description

Original 1st printing 7&1/4 x 7&5/8" concert handbill for Country Joe & the Fish appearing with the Grateful Dead, Sir Douglas Quintet, Pulse, Mint Tattoo and Comfortable Chair at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, CA from 12/20-21/1968.

Designer unknown/not credited (show promoted by Scenic Sounds), image (full-color poster) is featured in the Art of Rock on page 270 (plate 3.54).

Thin flat stock handbill is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; there is a 5" long thin diagonal crease in along the lower right corner/margin, along with a series of handling creases/thin bends, light surface stains/tiny scuff marks and pin-prick spots scattered around the image/outer margin area, a small tear in the right margin, a bit of edge toning and a couple of sneaker-tread scuff marks on the reverse side... definitely a well-loved specimen, but not an easy one to find.
