Original 1st printing 19 x 25" concert poster for the San Francisco International Pop Festival, held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA from 10/26-27/1968.
Design by Carson-Mrris Studios, acts listed include: Johnny Rivers, Jose Feliciano, Canned Heat, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Buddy Miles Express, Fraternity of Man, Deep Purple, Procol Harum, Chambers Brothers, Eric Burdon & the Animals and the Grass Roots. (*not all listed acts appeared, and there were a few additions- Mad River, Lee Michaels and a few others)
Medium-thick glossy coated index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a soft diagonal bend and a 1&1/2" vertical pressure crease/scuff along the upper right margin (next to the large star on the right side), along with a few stray edge dings/hairline bends scattered around the outer margin area and a few VERY well-camouflaged handling dings hiding within the image area, otherwise it is a very sharp example of this whimsical Rick Griffin-inspired poster from a somewhat obscure 1968 South Bay event.
