Description

Original 21 x 28&1/4" uncut printer's proof sheet featuring a pair of original 1st printing concert posters for Cold Blood appearing with the Youngbloods, Vanilla Fudge and Richie Havens at the Fillmore West and the Grateful Dead appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service, Santana and It's a Beautiful Day at Winterland, both shows held on 12/31/1968 in San Francisco, CA.

Art by Lee Conklin, images are numbers 153 (left side) and 152 (right side) in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.

Medium glossy-coated index stock sheet is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a moderate amount of the usual surface scratching/scuffing that is commonly exhibited on this sheet (an issue with the ink not drying properly before the sheets were stacked), along with a small 1" diagonal bend in the lower left corner, a small 1&1/2" vertical bend and tiny nip tear in the lower right margin, a few stray edge dings scattered along the right-side margin, a stray soft pinch ding or two hiding within the image area and a couple of minor soft corner-tip bends in the upper left/right corners, otherwise fine.

ULTRA-TRIPPY late-'68 Lee Conklin-designed sheet with a decidedly psychedelic take on several New Year's Eve traditions.
