Description

 Pair of original 1st printing thin-paper boxing-style concert artifacts for the San Francisco International Pop Festival, held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA from 10/26-27/1968;

 Near mint (A-) condition 5&3/8 x 8&3/8" double-sided (map reverse) KYA letterpress handbill; just a whisper of handling and a small light bend in the upper right margin, otherwise fine.

 Mint/near mint (A/A- to A-) condition 5&3/4 x 7&3/4" thin paper stock letterpress handbill (this one has a Tilghman Press credit); a very sharp/clean example overall.

Acts listed include: Johnny Rivers, Jose Feliciano, Canned Heat, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Buddy Miles Express, Fraternity of Man, Deep Purple, Procol Harum, Chambers Brothers, Eric Burdon & the Animals and the Grass Roots. (*not all listed acts appeared, and there were a few additions- Mad River, Lee Michaels and a few others)

 Very neat little pair of original late-'60's festival artifacts from a semi-obscure late-'68 Bay Area event. Check out an audience-taped compilation (with hilarious running commentary from the guy recording the show) of various acts performing at the event HERE:
