Description

Pair of original 1st printing 4&1/4 x 6&1/2" (appx.) 1972 tour blank concert handbills for Creedence Clearwater Revival (one has a printed date from a 5/12/1972 show at the Kansas City Municipal Auditorium with Tony Joe White and Freddie King).

Design by D. Grace, (printed by Tea Lautrec of San Francisco), image (with different show info (Shreveport, LA) is featured in the Art of Rock on page 391 (plate 4.179).

Medium-thin glossy coated index stock handbills are in near mint (A-/B+, the KC one) and very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+, the tour blank) condition; just a whisper of surface wear and couple of tiny spots with a bit of blue flair pen scratch on the reverse side of the tour blank handbill ("Terry -Have a Ball... "Sek"), otherwise fine.

Neat little pair of early '70's Creedence concert artifacts featuring the post-1970 power-trio lineup of the band.
