Description

Original 1st/only printing 8&1/2* x 11" (*appx- right margin has been irregularly trimmed) concert flyer, "PEACE" (a benefit for 1st Congressional District write-in candidate Phil Drath) featuring Bola Sete appearing with the Grateful Dead and Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Mount Tamalpais Outdoor Amphitheater in Marin, CA on 10/8/1966.

Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image ("PEACE") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 228 (plate 2.325)- this is the 2nd-state version. (*Bola Sete replacing Joan Baez and Mimi Farina on the bill)

Thin flat stock flyer is in decent (B/B-) condition; as mentioned, the right margin has been diagonally sliced with the bottom measuring out to 8&1/4" and the top measuring out to 8&3/8"- aside from that there are a couple of light handling dings here and there, a small stain and a bit of light moisture rippling along the bottom edge, a tiny pin hole in the right margin and a quartet of tape residue marks on the reverse side, otherwise OK... conditional issues notwithstanding, the piece actually is quite presentable.
