Original 1st printing 6&1/8 x 9&5/8" extra-large concert handbill for "Explosion at the Village Theater", a multi-act show featuring the Who, the Blues Project, Richie Havens, Chrysalis and After the Third World Raspberry, held at the Village Theater (pre-Fillmore East) in New York City on 7/8/1967.
Art by Charles Brandon, medium-thin flat stock handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a small 1" diagonal/horizontal tear in the bottom center margin, along with another tiny 1/8" tear in the lower left margin, a tiny nip/tear in the lower right corner/margin, a hairline-thin diagonal scratch in the upper right corner, a touch of handling and a quartet of light tape residue marks on the reverse side, otherwise fine.
ULTRA-COOL and MEGA-SCARCE 1967 Who concert artifact from the pre-Fillmore East Village Theater, the first of a series of "Explosion" events put on by promoter Don Friedman in the summer of 1967 (other shows featured the Byrds, the Yardbirds and more).
