Description

Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer for "ALL DANCE #1 (King Kong Dervish)", a concert featuring the Sopwith "Camel", (the) Quicksilver Messenger Service and the Charlatans appearing at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 2/18/1966 (*this was the night before the FD #1 Tribal Stomp show and shortly after the BG #1 show, roughly two weeks before the Family Dog's own "King Kong" dance).

Art by Christian (Bob) Collins, ultra-thin flat stock flyer is in used (B-) condition; there are large chunks of paper missing from the top/bottom center margins, along with semi-flattened horizontal/vertical folds (with tiny splits at the edges), a couple of small stray edge tears, pieces of clear tape in the corner tips, light handling, edge toning, a few tiny pin-prick spots, a tape mark in the top center margin and a stray thin bend or two... definitely a well-worn example, but it certainly has personality.

INCREDIBLY hard-to-find artifact from from one of the EARLIEST rock dances held at the Fillmore (when it was still being used by multiple promoters, Bill Graham had yet to secure the lease).
