Original 1st printing 12&1/2 x 22" concert/event poster for the 1st Detroit-Windsor Pop Festival, an all-day multi-act show held at Windsor (Ontario) Arena on 6/27/1970.
Acts/bands listed include MC5, Third Power, Frijid Pink, Up, the Rationals, Blues Train, Shakey Jake, Wesselfox, All the Lonely People, Virgin Dawn, Poison Oak Mighty Quick, Springwell, Sunday Funnies, M.C. Brother Jesse Crawford and more.
Art by Darlene, medium-thin index stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a small tear and a clipped corner tip in the upper left corner, a small black stain in the top margin, a bit of light to moderate creasing along the upper margin area, a small tear in the right center margin, a set of tape shadows on the reverse that bleed slightly through the paper in all four corners, a few light creases/dings here and there, a bit of surface dirt and a set of tape pulls with a bit of scrapbook residue on the reverse, otherwise fine.
Really interesting low-run poster from a one-off single-day event in Ontario, right across from Detroit (and featuring mostly Michigan-based acts).
