Description

Original 1st printing 7&1/8 x 9&7/8" concert handbill for the Grateful Dead appearing with Palace Meat Market at Springer's Ballroom outside of Portland, OR on 5/30/1969 and at Macarthur Court on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene on 5/31/1969.

Art by Gary Ewing* (photo by Thomas Weir), thin flat pulpy vellum stock flyer is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a 1&1/2" vertical tear in the lower left margin (sealed on the reverse with clear tape), along with a quartet of staple/pin holes (all four corners with a tiny drag tear in the upper left margin), a tiny bend in the lower left corner tip, a trace of handling and a couple of light edge creases/soft bends scattered around the outer margin area, otherwise fine.

Fairly uncommon 1969 Grateful Dead concert artifact fom Oregon. Check out a very decent-sounding (for 1969) recording of the gig (complete with a Bob Weir "Yellow Dog Story") HERE:
