Description

Original 1st printing 14 x 20" untrimmed printer's proof (appx. 1/2" extra white border around the outer margins) concert poster for Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with the Other Half and the (Steve) Miller Blues Band at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 1/6-7/1967.

Art by Victor Moscoso, image is # 42 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are tack holes in the top center margin, in the lower left corner and in the left-center bottom margin, along with a hairline-thin 7&1/2" diagonal bend in the lower left corner/quadrant, a few stray handling dings here and there, a pair of tiny diagonal corner bends in the upper/lower right corners, a trace of edge dirt and a few tiny pin-prick surface spots lurking around the outer margin area, otherwise fine.

INCREDIBLY SCARCE untrimmed example of this always-popular Moscoso image. I have handled a number of these over the years, this is is the first untrimmed example that I have ever come across.
