Description

Original 1st printing 13 x 20" concert poster for "Spring Medicine Show"- a two-day benefit for the Haight-Ashbury Free Medical Clinic, held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/28-29/1968.

Poster lists appearances by: Allmen Joy, Santana (Blues Band), A.B. Skhy, Phoenix, It's a Beautiful Day, Indian Head Band, Loading Zone, Linn County, Country Weather, Initial Shock, Mint Tattoo and Crystal Syphon.

Art by San Andreas Fault (Tad Hunter), image is an un-numbered part of the Family Dog series (FD-680528 in Eric King's guide, the image falls between FD numbers 120 and 121).

Medium-thick flat index stock poster is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; aside from a hairline-thin 3" horizontal bend along the extreme bottom left margin, a couple of semi-soft creases in the bottom margin underneath "Ballroom", a tiny diagonal bend in the lower right margin/corner and a trace of handling wear, it is a GORGEOUS extra-bright example of this somewhat hard-to-find late-period Family Dog benefit poster.
