Description

Original 1967 8 x 10" (appx.- top edge trimmed) black and white glossy promo photo and 8&5/8 x 10&7/8" original art (mounted to board) for Pennsylvania-based garage-rock band the Shillings appearing at "Mod Mill" in Coopersburg (near Allentown), PA on 5/5/1967.

As mentioned, the promo photo has a hand-trimmed top edge and the artwork (black marker on blue paper) is mounted to a board, so grades don't really apply here, but they are both in presentable shape; the artwork has a bit of edge/corner-tip wear and a couple of tiny pin-prick spots here and there, a small diagonal bend in the upper left corner and a few other minor issues, but still looks pretty good overall. The photo (aside from being trimmed along the top margin) has a touch of toning, corner-tip curling and a tiny nip tear along the left side, but is otherwise OK.

FASCINATING pair of early-1967 artifacts from the Allentown-area teen/garage-rock scene. Check out the band's lone single, "Lying and Trying" HERE:
