Description

 Pair of original 1967 1st printing Berkeley Bonaparte marijuana-themed posters created by the inimitable Rick Griffin; "Can-A-Blis" and "Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory";

 Art by Rick Griffin, "Can-A-Blis" image (2nd printing with yellow diamond behind can) is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 238 (plate 2.360), "Mine Eyes" is not pictured.

 "Mine Eyes" is 14 x 18&7/8" and is on flat vellum stock (printed by Double-H Press); it is in used (B-) condition; there is a fairly heavy amount of wear on this one- toning, heavy edge/corner wear, numerous surface abrasions and stray pin/tack holes, handling wear, tape stains/pulls on the reverse- definitely a well-loved example... the photograph should show pretty clearly what is going on with this one.

"Can-A-Blis" is 20 x 14" and is on flat smooth index stock; this one fares a little better at about good to very good (B to B/B+) condition with a set of decent-sized tack holes in the upper left/right corners (there is also a second small drag tear/hole in the upper left corner), light to moderate toning, a couple of pin-prick stains in the upper right margin, a couple of soft wavy vertical roll bends, a few light handling creases/light surface smudges here and there and a few minor edge dings scattered around the outer margin area, otherwise OK.

 Conditional issues aside, it is a very charming old set of 1967 Rick Griffin posters that won't break the bank.
