Description

Original 1st printing 14 x 21&1/2" concert poster for the Jimi Hendrix Experience appearing with Albert King and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers at the Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland in San Francisco, CA from 2/1-4/1968.

Art by Rick Griffin, image ("Flying Eyeball") is  # 105 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series (BG 105-OP-1 in the Eric King guide).

Medium flat index stock poster has been professionally restored to excellent (B+) condition; there has been a bit of color touch-up, a couple of tiny paper fills and a tiny sealed edge ding or two, along with a series of flattened/pressed-out hairline-thin stress bends in the lower right corner, along the left/right margins and along the bottom margin (you have to look really close to see most of these), a flattened vertical stress bend going from the right side of the eyeball down to the "K" in "King", a couple of tiny pin-prick surface spots in the lower right margin/corner and there are a light set of light tape pulls on the reverse and a soft oil stain/discoloration on the reverse (doesn't bleed through the paper), otherwise it is an absolutely FANTASTIC-looking original 1st printing example of one of the most famous/in-demand posters in the entire genre of 1960's-era psychedelic concert art.
