Description

Original 1st printing 4&1/2 x 6&7/8" concert handbill for Hot Tuna (featuring Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady of Jefferson Airplane) appearing with the Cleanliness and Godliness Skiffle Band and "Special Guest Stars" the Grateful Dead at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Santa Rosa, CA from 6/27-28/1969 and at the Barn in Rio Nido, CA on 6/29/1969.

Art by Lee Conklin, the image (sometimes referred to as "Ear Head") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 229 (plate 2.329).

Medium-thick flat index stock handbill is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there is a small 1&1/2" diagonal bend in the lower left corner tip, a few soft handling dings here and there, a couple of tiny pin-prick surface pulls scattered around the outer margin area, a touch of toning, a few soft age spots, a couple of slightly soft corner tips and a couple of minor surface chips on the reverse, otherwise it is a fine-looking example of this semi-uncommon (and very much in-demand) Grateful Dead image from the AOR.
