Description

Original 1st printing 6&7/8 x 10&7/8" concert handbill/flyer, along with a 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" 12-page concert program and 2&1/2 x 1&1/2" torn ticket stub for Jefferson Airplane appearing with B.B. King, Christopher Tree's Spontaneous Sound and special guest stars the Who at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA on 8/12/1969.

Design by Willson/Frissora, image (handbill) is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 159 (plate 2.95).

Medium-thin flat stock handbill is in good (B) condition; there is a pronounced horizontal center fold with a bit of creasing (about a 1" square area) concentrated around the right center margin, a bit of toning along the fold and a few light handling dings/thin bends hiding within the image area, but overall it still looks pretty decent.

The program is in very good to excellent  (B/B+ to B+) condition; just a tiny bit of pen scribble on the back cover, a few light handling dings and a couple of rusty staples, otherwise fine.

The ticket stub (section 16, row A, seat 1) is in decent (B/B-) shape; there is a tiny clipped corner tip and a fair amount of creative scribbling on the reverse of the stub (in addition to being hand-torn along the left side), but it's still presentable.

VERY cool (and MEGA-SCARCE) original set of original 1969 concert artifacts from a Bill Graham-produced "Tuesday Tanglewood Trends" event that fell just days before the Who and the Airplane both appeared at Woodstock (*for which there is a full-page ad on the inside back cover of the program). Historic!
