Description

Original 1st printing 18 x 28" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with special guests Suzanne Vega and Bruce Hornsby & the Range (and -not listed- Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones) Olantunji and Michael Hinton, Daryl Hall & John Oates (with T-Bone Wolk and G.E. Smith) and Jack Casady (Hot Tuna/Jefferson Airplane) in a "Benefit for the Rainforest" at Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY on 9/24/1988.

Art by Robert Rauschenberg, medium-thick glossy stock poster is in near mint (A-) condition; just a few very light tiny surface scratches/soft fingerprints here and there and a touch of curl to the paper, otherwise fine.

Fairly unusual late-'80s Dead poster featuring a design by one of the most renowned fine artists of the late 20th century. This was a REALLY strange Grateful Dead performance (full disclosure- I was at this one)- if you can get past Jerry's voice being totally shot, check out the second set of the show HERE:
