Description

Original 1st printing 17&3/8 x 23&1/4" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with the Cleveland Wrecking Company and Ice at Longshoreman's Hall In San Francisco, CA on 7/16/1969. Show was a party/memorial for HAMC member Gino Heinicke, who had recently been killed by members of a rival group (Gypsy Jokers).

Designer unknown/not credited (HAMC member) medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster has been restored to good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there are a number of semi-pronounced thin bends and tiny pressure/stress creases running along the top bottom margins, along with a couple of repaired/sealed vertical tears, a bit of edge toning, a few tiny scuffs/pin-prick spots scattered here and there, light handling creases, etc.... the photo should pretty much tell the story on this example.

While this one was repaired in a couple of obvious areas, the restoration didn't go all the way; it definitely has maintained several elements of its previous state, presumably to preserve the character of the piece- like a well-worn leather jacket.

HELLACIOUSLY SCARCE Grateful Dead/Hells Angels poster from mid-1969, I have only seen about five examples over the years.
