Original 1st printing 11&1/2 x 17&5/8" (folded in half to 8&7/8 x 11&1/2" tabloid-style) 20-page issue (Volume VI, issue # 6) of the (Oakland, CA-based) Black Panther Intercommunal News Service, featuring a full-page ad for the Grateful Dead appearing at the Revolutional Intercommunal Day of Solidarity for Bobby Seale, Erika Huggins, Angela Davis and Ruchell Magee and Post-Birthday Celebration for Huey P. Newton at Oakland Auditorium on 3/5/1971.
Thin newsprint stock paper is in used (B-) condition; there are a couple of large tears on the last two pages, along with a series of tiny edge tears/nicks along the outer margin area, a moderate degree of toning with a bit of tattering around the spine, a couple of splits along the outer edge and the paper is pretty brittle, but other than that it is completely intact- no missing pages.
ULTRA-cool early-'70's Black Panthers/Grateful Dead artifact, featuring a number of eye-opening news stories and a great Emory Douglas full-page design on the back cover.
