Description

Original 1st printing 6&1/4 x 7&7/8" double-sided concert handbill/card for the Grateful Dead appearing with the New Riders of the Purple Sage and Rubberduck Company (*along with special guests David Crosby on 7/14 and Janis Joplin on 7/16) at the Euphoria (Pepperland) in San Rafael, CA on 7/14 and 7/16/1970.

 Art by San Andreas Fault (Tad Hunter), image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 364 (plate 4.93).

 Medium glossy coated index stock card/handbill (with a map to the venue and coming attractions on the reverse) is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; this example (as with many existing examples) has hand-written (in blue flair pen) date corrections below "Grateful", along with a small 1/2" diagonal pressure crease in the bottom left corner tip, a tiny pinch crease in the top right margin, a few light age spots and a touch of toning around the outer margin area and there is either some fading/discoloration or the orange/red pass of ink is almost non-existent (I have seen other examples like this), but overall it is still in pretty good shape.

AWESOME original 1970 Grateful Dead image from a legendary set of Northern California shows. Listen to the 7/16 show (with Janis Joplin sitting in on "Lovelight") HERE;
