Description

Original 1st full-color version (3rd overall) printing (Royal Screen Craft) 21 x 28&1/2" 1969/70 florescent day-glo ink silkscreen poster featuring Rick Griffin's legendary rendition of a peyote-eating Huichol, "San Mezcalito".

Art by the aforementioned Rick Griffin, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 238 (plate 2.359).

Medium-thick vellum stock silkscreen poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are a couple of thin horizontal roll creases with areas of minor ink cracking (upper left margin, bottom left margin and a few tiny cracks hiding within the image area), along with a hint of minor surface scuffing (a common issue with most examples I've seen), otherwise it is a GREAT-looking example of this absolutely eye-searing Rick Griffin poster from the Art of Rock book.
