Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin -her first headlining performances with BBHC) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 6/24-25/1966.

Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image ("Zig-Zag Man") is # 14 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

Medium flat vellum stock poster has been restored to good/very good (B to B/B+) condition; this example has had a fairly extensive amount of edge/corner repair, including paper fills, tear sealing, numerous areas of touch-up (particularly around the ticket outlet strip) and the paper was cleaned, leaving a bit of moisture rippling/paper tightening in a few areas, but overall it looks pretty decent/presentable. There's still a few minor issues here and there, but they don't compromise the image all that much.

While this example has had quite a bit of work, the restoration has definitely brought it back to displayable condition- perfect for someone who wants a decent-looking 1st printing "Zig-Zag" without destroying their bank account.
