Original 1st printing 6 x 10" concert handbill for the Grateful Dead appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service and the P.H. Phactor Jug Band at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR from 2/2-3/1968.
Art by George Hunter, image (*poster with different typeface in the venue area) is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 287 (plate 3.103).
Medium-thick flat vellum stock handbill is in good to very good (B) condition; there are staple holes in all four corners, in the "Ba" of "Ballroom" and along the bottom margin, along with a 1" triangular wedge tear in the upper left corner, a slight horizontal roll wave to the paper, a few tiny pin-prick surface indentations and a tiny nip in the lower left margin, otherwise fine.
All told, the conditional issues don't detract all that much, mostly due to the design of the piece- to the contrary, they actually contribute quite well to the old-west-style "torn down" look of the piece.
GREAT-LOOKING original Grateful Dead/QMS "Notice!" concert handbill from the legendary winter 1968 tour of the Pacific Northwest. Stream the 2/2 show HERE:
