Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for NYC folk/blues/rock legends the Blues Project (featuring Al Kooper and Steve Katz) appearing with the Great Society (featuring Grace Slick) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 4/22-23/1966.

 Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in used (B- to B-/C+) condition; there is a heavy amount of wear (tears, creases, areas of missing paper) along the bottom edge, top left/right corners and left/right margins, along with a moderate degree of toning, a small tear in the top center margin... a great candidate for restoration, or just to enjoy as a groovy artifact.

 Conditional issues aside, it is still a fairly significant piece- first Avalon show, first full-color poster (Chet used to make a big deal out of this)... a perfect opportunity for someone who doesn't want to spend a small fortune for a higher-graded example.
