Description

Original 1st printing 13&5/8 x 19&7/8" concert poster for Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with the Great Society (featuring Grace Slick) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 9/9-10/1966.

Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley with a photo by Edward S. Curtis, image ("Bull Bear") is # 25 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are semi-flattened horizontal/vertical creases (item was folded into 1/8ths and pressed out), along with tack holes and tiny creases in all four corners, a few light handling dings here and there, a pair of tiny surface spots in the upper right margin and just a whisper of light paper toning, otherwise fine.

Pretty nice-looking semi-used 1st printing example of this early Family Dog poster.
