Description

Original 1st printing  7 x 10&1/2" concert handbill for the Grateful Dead appearing (with the New Riders of the Purple Sage-not listed) at McDonough Arena on the campus of Georgetown University in Washington, DC on 10/23/1970.

Artist unknown/not credited, thin flat stock handbill has been professionally restored to excellent (B+) condition; the bottom edge has has some paper fill (including some of the type), a few thin creases have been pressed out, pin holes along the top edge have been filled and there remain a few light handling dings/pin-prick spots here and there, but overall it looks GREAT.... very high quality restoration work.

INCREDIBLY SCARCE Dead concert artifact from the Fall 1970 run, this lot also comes with an original newspaper review of the show (by Tom Zito) from the Washington Post.

Check out a great-sounding recording of the show HERE:
