Original 1st printing 15&7/8 x 26&3/4" concert poster for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band with Sly & the Family Stone, the Velvet Underground (featuring Lou Reed) and the Rockets (pre-Crazy Horse) at the Shrine Exposition Hall in Los Angeles, CA on 7/12-13/1968.
Art by Neon Park, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 277 (plate 3.70).
Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a 1" diagonal area of creasing and a bit of edge wear in the lower right margin/corner-tip, along with a few VERY light crescent-shaped pinch dings scattered around the image area, a small bend in the top right corner tip, a few tiny surface scuffs and pin-prick indentation spots and a couple of nearly-invisible mounting tape pulls on the reverse side, otherwise it is a GORGEOUS example of Neon Park's infamous "melting butter" poster.
One of the most colorful posters in the Pinnacle series, a big favorite among Velvet Underground collectors.
