Description
Original 1st printing 22 x 50" EXTRA-LARGE 1967 silkscreen lobby poster from the Western Front in San Francisco, CA.
Art by Stanley Mouse, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 192 (plate 2.201).
Medium-thick semi-glossy stock silkscreen is in used (B-) condition; there is a fairly extensive amount of edge/corner wear (numerous holes, creases, the top edge is pretty tattered and has a large tape pull), along with a light to moderate degree of toning in the upper half of the poster, a couple of fossilized pieces of scotch tape in the right center margin (covering a couple of good-sized tears), numerous small surface scuffs, stress/handling creases and stray pin/tack holes scattered throughout the poster, a bit of curling to the paper, a bit of pen scratch and a large set of masking-tape remnants on the reverse... this example has definitely lived a robust life and is as superb a candidate for restoration as I have ever seen.... still, the main body of the image area looks presentable and it should clean up nicely (if so desired).
INCREDIBLY COOL (and MASSIVE) original 1967 San Francisco psychedelic venue artifact!!!
