Pair of original 1st printing 5 x 7" postcard-backed mailed (with canceled stamps) concert handbills featuring the December, 1967 and March 1968 schedules of shows held at the Cheetah (Aragon Ballroom) in Chicago, IL. 

Shows listed include: (December 1967) The Outsiders (12/1-3), Chambers Brothers with the Detroit Wheels and Mandala (12/8-10), Neil Diamond, H.P. Lovecraft and the Family (12/15-16), Baby Huey (12/27-29 and 12/31 with the Rovin' Kind) and (March 1968) Moby Grape (2/23-24), Beacon Street Union (2/25), H.P. Lovecraft (3/1-3), Strawberry Alarm Clock (3/8), Wilson Pickett (3/9-10), the Mauds (3/16) Baby Huey and the Babysitters (3/17) and Big Brother and the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin, 3/22-24).

 Designer unknown/not credited, cards are on flat vellum (Dec. '67) and medium-thick glossy (March '68) stock and are both in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; both of them have pieces of clear tape across the top/bottom margins, the March '68 card has a semi-pronounced vertical crease running down the right side of the image area and a bit of handling wear, the December card has handling wear, a few surface spots and a couple of large pieces of scrapbook page remnants glued onto the reverse, along with a pull... take a look at the photographs, they should tell the story with these.

 Conditional issues aside, these are the first mailers from the Chicago Cheetah that I have seen... VERY uncommon, I don't think the mailing list was very extensive. (*photo- John Chuckman)
