Description

Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for Quicksilver Messenger Service with Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin) and the Jaywalkers on 7/1/1966, the Great! Society (with Grace Slick), Sopwith Camel and the Charlatans on 7/2/1966 and the Grateful Dead with Love (featuring Arthur Lee) and Group B on 7/3/1966, all shows held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA.

Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 14 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.

Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are tack holes in all four corners with a 1/2" vertical tear in the top right corner tip, along with a couple of VERY soft bends/creases scattered around the outer margin area, a tiny pin-prick spot or two hiding within the image area, a whisper of handling, a soft stain and "Double-H Press" stamp and handwritten name ("Dave", in black ballpoint) on the reverse, otherwise fine.

As this one of only a few early Fillmore images that was not later reprinted, this piece is key to completing a full image set.
