Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" benefit concert flyer (to provide funding for filmmaker Robert Nelson's movie "The Great Blondin"), held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 3/11-12/1966. (2-day event lists Bill Graham as the promoter in the bottom left corner).
Thin flat stock flyer lists appearances by Quicksilver Messenger Service (both days), along with the Great Society (featuring a pre-Jefferson Airplane Grace Slick) and the Gentlemen's Band (3/11) and Mystery Trend, Family Tree and Third Rail (3/12).
Artist unknown, image is not a numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore image (this show falls between the BG #1 and BG #2 shows), but it is featured in "The Art of the Fillmore" book on page 32.
Thin stock flyer is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are tack holes in the top left/right corners, along with a slight amount of paper toning, a series of VERY subtle handling creases/thin bends scattered throughout the image area, a slight amount of "baconing" (slight moisture ripple) along the top margin and a touch of edge wear, otherwise it is a SUPERB example of this VERY early Fillmore benefit flyer.
