Description

Original 1st printing 14 x 21&3/4" silkscreen cardboard poster for "New 4th Ave. Dimension (in Light-Sight-Sound)" a circa 1967/1968 undated event item from the Cave in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Featured performers/acts listed include; Painted Ship, Bobby Taylor's Vancouvers (with Tommy Chong!), Doug Hawthorne's Trans-Euphoric Express Light Show, Rickey Mann, Fraser McPherson's Psychedelic Relics and the Cave Go-Go Girls, featuring Toni Sinclair.

Art by Jersey, extra-thick cardboard stock silkscreen poster (printed with extra-bright florescent day-glo ink) is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are a series well-placed staple holes (several with rust stains) in all four corners and scattered around the outer margin area, along with a couple of tiny corner-tip pressure creases, a few stray tiny pin-prick surface spots/tiny pulls hiding within the image area, a quarter-sized light surface stain on the "i" of "Dimension", a light to moderate amount of toning, a bit of ink spread along the bottom margin and a few light stains/thin stress creases on the reverse side, otherwise fine.

ULTRA-COOL late-'60's oddball poster from one of Vancouver's hippest nightclubs. Check out a gallery of photos from the club HERE:
