Description

Original 1st printing 14 x 20&1/8" concert poster for the Association appearing with Sopwith Camel (Sat. only), the Grass Roots (Fri. only) and Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 7/22-23/1966.

Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 18 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.

Medium-thin flat vellum stock poster has been professionally restored to very good/excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; all four corners have received a moderate amount of work (all of which can be seen when the poster is tilted towards a light source)- paper fills/repairs, along with a flattened set of horizontal roll bends and a few soft handling dings and thin hairline stress bends hiding within the image area, but overall the restoration work looks pretty good (I'm not certain who did the restoration on this one, but it's a pro job)... a very fine-looking restored example of this somewhat hard-to-find early Fillmore poster.

INCREDIBLY popular and iconic Fillmore image, this piece often gets chosen for articles and essays as one of the best representations of psychedelic lettering.
