Description

Original 1st printing 5 x 7" blank-reverse concert handbill for "Spirit of '67", featuring Sopwith Camel appearing with Blue Cheer at California Hall in San Francisco, CA from 7/7-8/1967.

Art by Michael Wood/Pyxis Studios, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 176 (plate 2.149).

Medium-thin flat vellum stock handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are tiny pin-prick spots in the bottom center margin and along the left margin, along with a soft crease and a couple more spots in the top center margin, a tiny pressure crease in the top left corner tip, a pair of light tape pulls/reidue stains on the reverse side, otherwise fine.

Overall, a fine-looking example of this nifty psychedelic Uncle Sam image from Cal Hall.
