Original 1st printing 14 x 22" silkscreen concert poster for the Doors apprearing with Crome Syrcus and the P.H. Phactor Jug Band at Eagles Auditorium in Seattle, WA ofrom 7/23-24/1967.
Art by Gebaroff Sign, the image is featured on page 41 of Scott McDougall's 2015 book of Seattle-area posters, "Split Fountain Hieroglyphics" (SFH 049b) and has the number designation "#15", but the specifics of the numbering system are unknown.
Extra-thick cardboard stock hand-pulled silkscreen poster is in used (C+) condition; as this example was VERY obviously displayed outdoors during a bit of inclement PNW weather, the resulting damage is fairly extensive- numerous water/moisture stains, several areas are covered with pin-prick mold stains, there is a 2&1/4" tape residue mark in the center of the image area, a HEAVY degree of edge/corner wear, numerous surface scuffs, a series of stray pin/tack holes, tape pulls on the reverse, etc... you get the idea, this puppy is WHOOPED.
The demand for posters from this venue has gone WAY up in recent years, and there are VERY few pieces in circulation.... and while this one is REALLY, REALLY conditionally challenged, it is still an original cardboard Doors concert poster from a tiny venue that just might restore out with a little TLC. A ONE-TIME-ONLY opportunity!!!!
