Original 1st printing 11 x 17" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing at the Boston Tea Party (15 Lansdowne Street location) in Boston, MA from 12/29-31/1969.
Art by Bob Driscoll (not credited), the image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 307 (plate 3.171).
Medium-thick flat index stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are a pair of thin diagonal creases and a thin water stain in the top left margin, along with a set of pin/tack holes (all four corners), a 1&1/4" tear in the lower left margin, a light to moderate degree of toning, a number of fairly well-hidden to semi-pronounced moisture stains (this poster was VERY likely pulled down from outdoor public display in 1969), a series of thin bends in the upper right quadrant/corner and a couple of tiny pin-prick stains on the reverse, otherwise fine.
Very charming (if slightly used) example of this classic late-'69 Grateful Dead poster from one of their only non-San Francisco New Year's Eve shows. Check out the 12/31 show HERE:
