Original 1st printing 17&1/8 x 22" concert/event poster for the Cincinnati Pop Festival, held at Cincinnati (OH) Gardens on 3/26/1970.
Artist unknown (central image borrowed from Gary Grimshaw), poster lists festival participants Joe Cocker (with Mad Dogs & Englishmen featuring Leon Russell), Savoy Brown, Mountain, MC5, Frijid Pink, Pleasure Seekers (featuring Suzi Quatro), the Amboy Dukes (with Ted Nugent), the Stooges (with Iggy Pop), Brownsville Station, Cradle, Bitter Blood, Balderdash, Whalefeathers, Glass Wall, East Orange Express and Westfauster.
Image is #140 in the Russ Gibb Presents series (G/G- 700326 in the Eric King guide) and was co-promoted with Mike Quatro and WEBN-FM.
Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a hard diagonal bend/fold (about 9" long) in the extreme upper left margin/corner with a couple of softer thin diagonal bends just to the right of the hard bend (about 4-5" each), a slight vertical curl to the paper from being rolled, a series of tiny stress bends and handling/pinch dings scattered around the image area and a bit of minor creasing in the lower right corner, otherwise fine.
One of the harder-to-find late-period Russ Gibb posters from the Grande series, this is one of the better-looking examples I have seen. Very eclectic lineup on this one.
