Original 1st printing 16 x 26&1/2" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with Albert King and Pacific Gas & Electric at the Shrine Exposition Hall in Los Angeles, CA from 5/2-4/1968.
Art by Rick Griffin and Victor Moscoso, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 277 (plate 3.69) and is part of the Pinnacle/Shrine series.
Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock sheet is in good/decent (B/B-) condition; a set of tack holes (all four corners) with a series of thin to semi-pronounced creases running along the top/bottom margins (with a few minor areas of ink cracking and a bit of minor fraying along the top margin), a few small diagonal bends in each of the four corners, a few stray surface scuffs and tiny crescent-shaped pinch bends scattered around the edges with one or two hiding within the image area, a few ultra-light moisture ripples and a small drip stain in the bottom right panel, a bit of light toning and a few soft splatter stains on the reverse, otherwise fine.
Very whimsical original Big Brother concert poster from the dawn of the underground comix era, created by two of the genre's most important artists. KILLER Griffin/Moscoso collaboration!
