Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for the 10/27-28/1967 Grand Opening of the Vulcan Gas Company in Austin, TX.
Art by Gilbert Shelton, image (full-color poster) is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 292 (plate 3.118) and is the very first "numbered" image in the VG/Vulcan Gas Company series (VGC # 1). This is the yellow stock monochrome flyer.
Thin flat stock flyer is in decent/used (B- to B-/C+) condition; this example has a large (1 x 3/4") chunk of missing paper out of the bottom right corner, along with a 3/4" tear in the lower left margin (just above the area of missing paper), along with a series of tiny "bug bite" nips and a line of toning along the bottom/left margins, a pair of small pin holes in the top/bottom center margins, a few soft blue scuffs in the left margin and around the girl's head, a few tiny handling/corner dings and a set of light tape pulls on the reverse- this example was more than likely taken down at the time of the show.
Conditional issues aside, it remains a really charming example of the very first Gilbert Shelton Vulcan Gas image.
