Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" double-sided (*map on reverse) ticket order form mailer/flyer for the 8/30-9/2/1969 Texas Pop Festival, held at Texas Motor Speedway in Lewisville, TX.
Art (peace sign logo) by Lance Bragg, flyer lists festival participants Canned Heat, Johnny Winter, Janis Joplin, Rotary Connection, Sam & Dave, Tony Joe White, B.B. King, James Cotton Blues Band, Incredible String Band, Led Zeppelin, Herbie Mann, Sweetwater, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Spirit, Ten Years After, the Nazz, Sly & the Family Stone, Santana, and the Chicago Transit Authority.
Thin flat stock flyer has been partially restored to good (B) condition; the item has its original pair of horizontal machine creases (item was originally folded up into 1/3rds and mailed in an envelope), along with an additional pair of pressed-out vertical creases, a bit of tightening/moisture creasing to the paper, a series of surface repairs (including a bit of camouflaged handwriting), a couple of thin rice-paper reinforcements on the reverse and a few stray pin-prick surface dings here and there- feel free to email me for details.
While the posters from this event turn up from time to time, this is the first time I have come across an original mailer... VERY uncommon Texas Pop piece.
