Original 1st printing (*narrow "TICKETS", wide borders, thick stock) 14&1/8 x 20&5/8" concert/event poster for the 2nd Northern California Folk-Rock Festival, held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, CA from 5/23-25/1969.
Poster lists performances by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Jefferson Airplane, Chambers Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Eric Burdon, Spirit, Canned Heat, Buffy St. Marie, the Youngbloods, Steve Miller, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal, Noel Redding (Fat Mattress), Lee Michaels, Blues Image, Santana, Aum, Elvin Bishop, Poco (Pogo), People, Linn (Lynn) County, Loading Zone, Sweet Linda (Tillery) Divine, Cat Mother & the All-Night Newsboys, Doc Watson and the New Lost City Ramblers. Also appeared (not listed): Fritz (featuring Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks) and more.
Design by Linda Segul, medium glossy-coated index stock poster is in STUNNING mint/near mint to near mint (A/A- to A-) condition; aside from a stray thin surface scratch/fingerprint smudge or two hiding within the image area and a couple of tiny print hickeys, this example is just about as nice as they come.
Not every act listed on the poster performed, but many (if not most of them) did- including Hendrix, who apparently delivered a scorching mid-afternoon set on the 25th.
